一位資深壽險業務人員坦言：「現在是做保險公司的工作，領銀行財富管理的手續費，新人當然生活困苦」，大家都在拚儲蓄型保單，收一次性極低的佣金，一位新人業務員能認識幾位大戶，根本無法長期維持生計。據壽險公會統計，今年前6月壽險公司登錄業務員人數達21萬2,979人，比去年底時增加2,499人，但同時間業務員貢獻的新契約保費則為2,659億元，比去年同期少了165億元，衰退幅度約5.8％，有「僧變多、粥卻變少」的情況。7月繼續維持此衰退趨勢，單月壽險公司業務員貢獻新契約保費372億元，僅占當月新契約保費的39％左右，同時間壽險公司登錄業務員人數也明顯減少1,063人，壽險公會表示，往年7、8月壽險業務員都會增加，且不少是大學生利用暑假考照、打工等，今年罕見衰退情況。幾家大型壽險公司，除國壽業務員業績維持成長，另外如南山人壽、富邦人壽、中國人壽、台灣人壽業務員的業績，都比去年衰退1～2成，三商美邦人壽及新光人壽則衰退個位數，但多家公司銀行通路或保經代的貢獻度反而提高。留不住人罕見暑期減員今年主要是傳統壽險保單賣不動，如只賣短年期儲蓄險的中華郵政壽險影響最大，其業務員（即中華郵政員工）前7月新契約保費102億元，比去年同期大幅衰退45％以上，但因為中華郵政多數是員工兼任賣保單，仍有固定薪水收入，其他壽險公司業務員則靠業績佣酬，所以不少壽險公司業務員也在流失當中。(工商時報)
